澳大利亚公民、永久居民或合格的新西兰公民(Australian citizen and Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand Citizen)可以担保其被抚养子女、领养子女、继子女或是孤儿亲属移民澳大利亚(Dependent child，adopted child，step child or orphan relative)。
一、被抚养子女移民(Dependent child)
被抚养子女是指未满18岁而且没有订婚或者配偶的子女。如果申请人被抚养子女已超过25岁以上，除非他们是因残疾、全职学习而仍依赖他们担保人或提名父母的抚养，否则不能以此类别提出申请。凡年满18岁以上的被抚养子女，必须从未有过配偶或订婚的情况，此外，如果是25岁以下，是全职学生、未曾工作，因残疾不能工作仍依赖父母抚养者除外。至于孤儿亲属也不能有配偶、并在其提出申请时未满18岁;如果是在澳大利亚境内提出申请，其提名人必须在提名他们以前已在澳大利亚居住2年以上(Generally，the child must be under 18，but may be under 25 if a full-time student and dependent on their sponsoring or nominating parent.The only exception to the age limit and full-time requirement is where the child has a disability which stops them from working.)。
澳大利亚移民法将此类规定为V101类和V802类。V101类是指在澳大利亚境外提出申请，V802类是指在澳大利亚境内提出申请。
二、养子女移移民(Adopted child)
养子女移民申请是指澳大利亚公民、永久居民或合格的新西兰公民所领养的未满18岁子女或者即将领养的子女根据有关规定提出的移民申请。凡是在其父母成为澳大利亚公民、永久居民或合格的新西兰公民之前即被领养者，不能申请这类签证;但是可以在被抚养子女类别下提出申请。(The child must have been adopted or be in the process of being adopted by an Australian citizen，permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen and must be sponsored by that person.he child must be under 18.)。
澳大利亚移民法将此类规定为V102类。
三、孤儿亲属移民(Orphan relative)
孤儿亲属必须未满18岁，而且没有父母照顾他们。他们可以由澳大利亚公民、永久居民或合格的新西兰公民亲属提名或者担保移民澳大利亚，该亲属可以是小孩的兄弟、姐妹、祖父母、叔舅姑姨或者侄子、侄女、外甥、外甥女(或是同等亲的继养亲属)。该亲属必须提供经济担保。(The child must be under 18 and no parent to care for them.They must be sponsored or nominated be a relative who is an Australian citizen or permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen.The relative must be either the child's brother or sister，sister, grandparent，aunt or uncle，or niece or nephew(or step equivalents).An assurance of support must be provided)。[page]

父母移民
父母移民指子女是澳大利亚公民、永久居民或合格的新西兰公民，在符合子女数目"平衡原则"考查的情况下，根据与子女的血缘关系和依赖关系，提出的移民申请。
如果申请人住在澳大利亚以外的地区而且又是担保人的父母，申请人在澳大利亚境内永久定居的子女人数，必须不得少于住在澳大利亚以外地区的子女人数总和;或者，申请人在澳大利亚境内永久定居的子女人数，要比在任何一个单一国家中的子女人数为多。
如果申请人目前人在澳大利亚、而且又是提名人的年迈父母(Aged parent)的一方、同时申请人在澳大利亚境内永久定居的子女人数，要多于住在澳大利亚以外地区的子女人数总和。对于此类签证，申请人的担保人必须在担保申请人之前已经在澳大利亚定居两年以上。
澳大利亚移民法将此类规定为V103类和V837类。V103类是指在澳大利亚境外提出申请，V837类是指在澳大利亚境内提出申请。
其他家庭亲属移民
如果审请人希望以担保人的照顾者亲属或年老受抚养的亲属或是仅存的海外亲属等身份办理移民，则申请人应该选择其它家庭亲属移民类移民。
一、照顾者亲属(Career)[page]
照顾者亲属移民是指由于申请人的担保人或其家庭成员因健康问题而需要日常生活的帮助、且其无法在澳大利亚境内获得来自任何家庭、福利、医院、安养或社区服务等单位的相关帮助，而申请人有能力而且愿意提供其所需的帮助所提出的移民申请。
需要该项帮助的澳大利亚担保人或其家庭成员，将需要在澳大利亚医疗服务(HSA)单位进行一项健康评估。对于此类签证类别，申请人的担保人必须在担保申请人以前已经在澳大利亚定居2年以上。申请人在澳大利亚的亲属必须是年满18岁的澳大利亚公民、永久居民或者合格的新西兰公民。申请人同样需要在澳亲属提供经济担保。

澳大利亚移民法将此类规定为v116类和V836类。V116类是指在澳大利亚境外提出申请，V836类是指在澳大利亚境内提出申请。
二 、年老受抚养的亲属(Aged dependent relative)
年老受抚养的亲属移民是指申请人必须已经达到领取澳大利亚养老金的年龄，而且至少在过去的3年来都是依赖担保人的抚养，为了获得担保人更好的照顾而的提出移民申请。申请人必须是离异或者配偶已经去世。申请人在澳大利亚的亲属必须是年满18岁的澳大利亚公民、永久居民或者合格的新西兰公民。申请人同样需要在澳亲属提供经济担保(You must be single, widowed or divorced aged person who is dependent on a relative who lives in stralia.Your relative must be aged over 18 and be an Australia citizen，Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen.An assurance of support is also required.)。
澳大利亚移民法将此类规定为Vll4类和V838类。Vll4类是指在澳大利亚境外提出申请，V838类是指在澳大利亚境内提出申请。\
三、家庭所剩最后一名成员(Remaining relative)
家庭所剩最后一名成员移民是指申请人必须是其担保人在澳大利亚境外的最后一位兄弟姐妹、或是子女(或是同等亲的继养亲属)，为了团聚而提出的移民申请。申请人的担保人必须年满18岁。申请人同样需要在澳亲属提供经济担保(This category enables a close family relative who would otherwise be left on their own overseas, to migrate to live with family in Australia.You must be the brother, sister or child(o step-relative to the same degree)of an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen.Your Australian relative must be aged over 18. 四、经济担保(Assurance of support)
经济担保是指担保人将在申请人移民申请成功后2年内，对申请移民者提供财务帮助的一种承诺，以使移民者不依赖于澳大利亚政府任何形式的资助。经济担保有效期2年，日期从移民抵达澳大利亚时计算。除非澳大利亚移民部提出要求，否则您不用提交这种担保。担保人必须表明，他们的应税收入足以使他们能为申请人提供财务担保。

五、担保人收入考查(Income test)
担保人在近两年的年收入最低不低于28，200澳元，并且有返税证明。担保人家庭中有一个未独立成人，增加2，000澳元，有一个子女，增加624澳元;被担保人申请中每包括一个独立的成年人，增加2，000$元，每包括一个子女，增加624$元。(An assure is required to have a minimum annual income of AU$28，200 evidenced by Tax Returns for the last two years.This amount is increased AU $2，000 for each dependent adult and $624 for each child in the assurer's family and AU$2，000 for each adult and $624 for each child included in the emigration application.)
